Meet AJ.
Find out about my lifelong passion for animals
Growth. Spirit. Strength.
I have always been involved with animals from an early age, including cats, dogs and later horses. I always remember pestering my parents for riding lessons. The flames fanned themselves and formed a lifelong passion for animals.
Personally, I am the honoured guardian of a variety of horses, cats and a mad spaniel who occasionally volunteer as guinea pigs in return for my services to them.
At the start of my working career, it became apparent that I wasn’t as interested in teaching / training people as my passion lay in striving to observe / help / understand the underdog / the more quirky, challenging horses (and later other animals) in my care.
I then spent the next 20 years researching and seeking information, honing skills to work with more challenging animals, understanding that there was usually a very good reason for the change of behaviour / aberrant behaviour of an animal. Always seeking that missing link to effect a positive change.
My passion is to use a whole animal approach to their physical, mental and emotional problems – enabling them to be the very best version of themselves.
Prevention is better than cure.
